About the Artist
Paul Iwanaga has spent a lifetime enjoying nature and wildlife, and his love for animals shows through in every original piece he crafts. With over 25 years as a goldsmith, Paul is one of the most sought-after custom wildlife jewelry artists in the Northwest.
Paul came to Oregon from Hawaii in 1962 to pursue a BS in wildlife management, and later completed a MS in Fishery Science. While working in the fisheries, he spent his summers in Alaska hunting, fishing, painting, and making jewelry. His talent is in the traditional hand carved “lost wax process,” a style that takes incredible skill, patience, and natural ability.
